Camping, however, has different meanings for different people. Knives - foldable knives are very convenient. You can also bring a multitool gadget that incorporates a knife with other essential tools like a screwdriver, bottle opener, wire cutter, etc. You'll be surprised at how many times you use your knife, so don't forget to bring one.

Water Bottles - There are bottles made especially for cold or hot liquids. Bring a large bottle to store your water supply and small bottles that you can carry around. This is very important to make sure that you do not get dehydrated especially if you are camping in hot areas.

Water Filter - Make sure that the water you drink is clean. A water filter is one important camping accessory that is oftentimes overlooked.

Torch - bring a standard torch or a headlamp. The outdoors can get very dark at night and this is when your flashlight becomes very useful. Don't forget to pack extra batteries as well.

Dining Utensils - Bring plates, mugs, bowls, and cutlery. Aluminum dining sets are lightweight and are very durable.

Icepacks - These neat little packages are frozen and placed inside your cooler to maintain a low temperature and keep your beverages cold longer.

Tent Pegs - always bring extra pegs just in case. Some tents already have extra pegs when you buy them but you can also buy pegs individually.

Groundsheets - Groundsheets provide comfort and additional barriers between you and the moist ground. It also protects your tent's flooring, extending the life of your tent.

There is a wide range of cheap camping gear that is available to modern campers. You can visit an outdoor shop to see what they have to offer or you can shop online. Before heading out to your campsite, make sure that you have these camping essentials because a well-prepared camper is a happy camper.
